An innovative organization working at the intersection of sustainability and menstrual hygiene management, they have developed a patented recycling technology that transforms used sanitary pads into recyclable materials—offering a solution to the environmental challenges of traditional disposal methods.
The Business Development Executive will play a pivotal role in driving the commercialization of waste-to-value products, including recycled plastic and cellulose derived from sanitary waste. The candidate will oversee market strategy, revenue generation, entrepreneurial execution, and the development of sales and distribution channels for these sustainable products.
Key Responsibilities
Market Strategy & Business Development
- Identify and validate innovative business models for monetizing recycled plastic and cellulose
- Conduct market mapping, competitor analysis, and feasibility studies to guide pricing and go-to-market strategies
Revenue Generation
- Develop scalable sales strategies and commercial models for waste-derived products
- Build and maintain B2B revenue pipelines through distribution channels
Entrepreneurial Execution
- Establish partnerships with buyers, manufacturers, waste-to-value companies, and sustainability-focused organizations
- Engage with distributors, retail networks, and bulk buyers to build a strong sales and distribution network
Product Commercialization
- Collaborate with R&D, Operations, and Marketing teams to bring waste-derived products to market
- Coordinate trials, certifications, and pilot projects to ensure product-market fit
Brand & Channel Development
- Develop market presence and brand positioning for waste-derived products in both offline and online channels
- Lead creation of on-ground sales channels, distribution partnerships, and retail alliances
- Manage customer education, brand building, and sustainability communication
Data & Reporting
- Set up systems for sales performance tracking, data management, impact measurement, and operational reporting
What We’re Looking For
- 2-3 years of experience in business development, market strategy, sales, or sustainability-focused product commercialization
- Strong commercial, analytical, and entrepreneurial skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and projects in fast-paced, impact-driven environments
- Passion for sustainability, circular economy, and social impact business models
- Prior experience in waste management, recycled products, or circular supply chains is a plus
