About the role

Biofuel is a high-growth sector within renewable energy, poised for significant growth over the next few years. Our client is looking to build a team to tap this high-impact, high-growth opportunity. They are looking for their first dedicated hire to work closely with the promoters/founders.

Role summary

This will be a high-impact generalist role that will help shape and execute our client’s biofuels strategy. Work will be diverse in the short-term (1-2 years) and following are a few examples on things you might end up working on: analysing different business opportunities (CBG, biocoal, Green H2, SAF), comparing different feedstocks and processes for CBG production, identifying optimum geographies for new projects, understanding engineering and technology, identifying and partnering with technological partners, business partners, channel partners, research institutes.

In the medium to long term (3-4 years), you can transition to owning a business function based on performance and interest.

What are we looking for

• Extremely high level of ownership
• Passion for sustainability and engineering
• ⁠Ability and willingness to turn chaos into structure
• Ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders (engineering companies to government officials)
• Engineering background: Bachelor's from a tier-1 engineering college (preferred, not mandatory)
• Experience : >1-2 years in a generalist/engineering role
• Biofuels experience : beneficial but not mandatory
