Incubated at a leading academic institute, the organization transforms biodiversity and carbon data into finance-grade intelligence, enabling TNFD, CSRD, and SBTN-aligned insights for enterprises, investors, and developers. With deep-tech foundations and a fast-growing ecosystem, the company is entering a major growth phase scaling from pilot projects to enterprise deployments.

They are seeking a Chief Business Officer (CBO) to drive market strategy, enterprise partnerships, and commercial scale-up. This leadership role combines business acumen, sustainability experience, and relationship-building with purpose-driven innovation. The CBO will play a pivotal part in turning the organization’s climate mission into market momentum—converting pilots into recurring revenue, forging strategic alliances, and shaping the commercial function from inception to scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Shape and co-own the go-to-market strategy across biodiversity, carbon, and ESG intelligence.
• Lead and co-create strategic enterprise partnerships with corporates, developers, investors, governments, and accelerators.
• Convert pilot projects into recurring, high-value revenue streams.
• Design scalable pricing, contracting, and partnership models for SaaS and data-driven solutions.
• Represent the organization externally with customers, partners, investors, and at global sustainability forums.
• Build and nurture the commercial team (sales, BD, and partnerships) as the company scales.
• Collaborate closely with founders on fundraising, strategy, and long-term market positioning.

Experience:

• 10–15+ years in business development, sustainability, consulting, or climate finance.
• Proven record of leading enterprise partnerships, sales, or market expansion in high-impact or tech-enabled sectors.
