A fast-growing climate and compliance advisory firm working at the intersection of sustainability, energy management, and carbon markets. The organization supports businesses in aligning with national and international environmental standards through integrated services in energy efficiency, carbon project development, and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate should have direct experience in implementing and managing carbon credit-generating projects across renewable energy (solar, wind), waste-to-energy, energy efficiency, and community-based interventions. This role requires a blend of deep technical understanding in energy systems and hands-on expertise in the full lifecycle of carbon project development, including credit issuance under global standards such as VCS, CDM, GS, and compliance frameworks like PAT and ISO 50001.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carbon Project Development & Issuance
- Lead end-to-end development of carbon offset projects (solar, wind, waste-to-energy, EE, community-based)
- Quantify GHG emission reductions, prepare project documentation (PDs, MRV plans, etc.), and coordinate validation & verification
- Work with registries (VCS, GS, CDM) for project registration and carbon credit issuance
2. Energy Efficiency Integration
- Identify energy-saving opportunities in industrial and infrastructure sectors and link them with carbon project potential
- Conduct technical and financial feasibility studies for energy efficiency and renewable energy integration
- Ensure alignment of energy efficiency projects with national schemes (PAT, ISO 50001) and global carbon methodologies
3. Technical Evaluation & M&V
- Develop and implement monitoring plans in line with MRV protocols (IPCC, ISO, BEE)
- Perform data analysis and modelling for energy consumption, emissions reduction, and project performance benchmarking
- Support third-party validation/verification and respond to TAs/queries
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Regulatory Liaison
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, auditors, and carbon standard bodies
