About The Client
Location- Bengaluru, India
Our client is a pioneering clean-tech organization tackling one of the most pressing challenges for India and the world: how to stay cool without heating up the planet. With rising temperatures, the need for sustainable cooling is growing rapidly. Traditional air conditioning consumes massive amounts of energy and uses harmful gases.
They are seeking a Founding Engineer who will be at the heart of their mission to reimagine cooling technologies. This role offers the independence to shape the company’s technology roadmap, directly contribute to energy-efficient and climate-friendly solutions, and work on cutting-edge systems from concept to prototype. The Founding Engineer will play a key role in innovation, experimentation, and collaboration, ensuring that the technologies developed are both impactful and scalable.
Key Responsibilities
- Exploring the World of Cooling Tech: Investigate a range of existing and emerging cooling technologies, from familiar systems to innovative approaches like radiant cooling, radiative cooling and dehumidification techniques.
- Analyzing and Modeling for Efficiency: Develop and use computer models to understand how these different cooling methods perform in terms of energy use, environmental impact, and cost.
- Bringing Ideas to Life: Design, build, and test prototypes to see if ideas work practically and to gather real-world data.
- Optimizing and Innovating: Identify ways to improve current cooling systems and develop entirely new components and system designs that are far more efficient and environmentally responsible.
- Collaborating and Sharing Knowledge: Work closely with the team (as it grows) and potentially with external experts and academicians to share findings and brainstorm new ideas.
- Protecting Our Innovations: Contribute to securing patents and intellectual property for the technologies developed.
- Staying Ahead of the Curve: Continuously research the latest advancements in thermodynamics, materials science, and sustainable energy.
Requirements
- A strong background in mechanical engineering, material science, thermodynamics, or a related field. We are not interested in your marksheet, just what you know now and how fast you are willing to learn.
- A genuine passion for sustainability and an understanding of the energy and climate challenges. Show how you have contributed to a better planet.
- Were you always tearing apart stuff and wondering how things work? A knack for designing experiments, building prototypes, and analyzing data is essential.
- A proactive, independent approach to work with strong problem-solving skills.
- Being a team player is a must – the goal is to go farther, not just faster.
