About the Role

The client is seeking a Lead – Business Development to drive commercialization and market adoption of high-performance insulation materials. This is a zero-to-one business development role focused on identifying industrial applications, building strategic customer pipelines, and converting early-stage interest into pilots and long-term commercial partnerships. The role requires strong technical-commercial capability and the ability to operate in an evolving deep-tech environment.


What You Will Do

1. Market Discovery & Pipeline Building

● Identify and prioritize industrial use cases where advanced insulation delivers clear value (performance, energy savings, cost)

● Map and build a pipeline of target customers across sectors such as energy, mobility, infrastructure, and industrial systems

● Conduct structured market research and customer conversations to validate demand and refine use cases

2. Customer Engagement & Pilot Development

● Initiate and build relationships with OEMs, EPCs, and industrial customers

● Drive meetings, technical discussions, and on-site visits

● Support pilots, trials, and product validation in collaboration with internal technical teams

● Translate customer requirements into actionable inputs for product development

3. Commercial Conversion & Partnerships

● Manage the pipeline from first interaction to pilot to commercial discussions

● Support conversion of early adopters into anchor customers
