Our client is a pioneering climate-tech materials company developing carbon-negative construction products (bio-concrete). Their solutions reduce embodied carbon, improve thermal insulation, and enhance mechanical performance. As they scale, they are expanding both company-owned and contract manufacturing to meet growing demand.

The Manufacturing Operations Lead will oversee multi-site manufacturing across company-owned and contract facilities. The role is accountable for production quality, operational efficiency, capacity expansion, procurement and cost optimisation, SOP/QA/QC enforcement, and on-time demand fulfilment. It requires frequent travel to troubleshoot issues on-site, stand up new partners, and build high-performing teams aligned to growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end manufacturing operations, ensuring quality, efficiency, and timely delivery
• Develop and enforce SOPs, QA/QC protocols, and safety standards across facilities
• Lead capacity expansion, process automation, and contract manufacturing partnerships
• Oversee procurement and supply chain optimisation to control costs without compromising quality
• Build, train, and mentor plant managers, engineers, and production staff
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, BD, R&D, and product teams to align operations with business needs
