About the Role**
The Marketing Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of large events and conferences. You will ensure smooth operations from concept to post-event wrap-up, working closely with internal teams, vendors, and external partners. Previous experience with a marketing agency in the production department will be an advantage, as you will need to combine creativity with flawless execution to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple moving parts.
Responsibilities
- Event and Conference Management: Oversee the logistical planning and on-ground execution of large events, conferences, and activations from start to finish.
- Production Oversight: Manage all aspects of production, including vendor coordination, timeline creation, and overall event flow.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, design, and content teams to ensure event messaging and creative assets align with brand goals.
- Budgeting & Resource Management: Create and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality and brand standards.
- Vendor Management: Source, negotiate, and liaise with third-party vendors, including AV, event planners, contractors, and venues.
- Event Promotion Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional strategies for events, including digital and social media campaigns.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Post-event, assess the success and effectiveness of each event, track KPIs, and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Technology & Tools: Leverage marketing automation tools, CRM, and event management software to enhance efficiency and attendee experience.
Requirements
- Experience: 3-6 years of experience in event management, marketing operations, or production, ideally in a startup environment or marketing agency.
- Event Expertise: Proven track record of managing large-scale events, conferences, and productions, with an understanding of technical aspects such as AV, lighting, and stage setup.
- Marketing Agency Experience: Prior experience in the production department of a marketing agency will be highly beneficial.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with vendors, partners, and internal teams.
