A fast-growing climate tech venture is building nature-based solutions like regenerative agriculture, agroforestry (ARR), and biochar projects that benefit smallholder farmers across South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. Their proprietary MRV platform blends bio-geo-chemical soil carbon models with remote sensing, machine learning, and calibrated soil data. The team is backed by reputed global investors and is led by operators with a strong record of scaling impactful agri-tech products.

They are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer with deep expertise in system design, distributed systems, and data-intensive backend development using Python, Golang, Django, and FastAPI. The candidate will help power their carbon intelligence platform and build tools for farmers, field agents, and carbon buyers.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable backend systems using Python (Django/FastAPI) and Golang
• Design APIs and data pipelines for large-scale geospatial and carbon data processing
• Lead database and system design for both real-time and batch applications
• Integrate AWS cloud-native services for compute, storage, and orchestration
• Collaborate across product, data, and field teams to deliver full-stack features
• Drive performance optimization, observability, and CI/CD processes

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend/full stack development experience
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, system design, and data modeling
• Proficiency in Python, Golang, and frameworks like Django and FastAPI
• Experience with AWS (S3, EC2, RDS, Lambda, etc.) and DevOps best practices
• Skilled with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases
