Our client is one of India’s leading manufacturers of garments to some of the top brands in the world. They’re looking to hire a Sustainability officer with expertise in chemical efficiency, carbon management, and sustainable technologies to help the organization reduce its carbon footprint.

Key Responsibilities: Carbon Footprint Management (Scope 1, 2, and 3):

• Measure and manage GHG emissions according to the GHG Protocol across the Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3.
• Integrate our carbon calculator with our ERP to enable live emissions tracking. Develop carbon reduction strategies that contribute to long-term sustainability goals.

HIGG FEM Sustainability Index Improvement:

• Work towards improving the HIGG Facility Environmental Module (FEM) sustainability index by enhancing performance in areas such as energy, water, chemicals, and waste management.
• Implement corrective actions to meet and exceed global sustainability standards.

Sustainable Chemical Efficiency & Savings:

• Optimize the use of chemicals in production processes to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Promote chemical management practices that minimize environmental impact and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Procurement of Sustainable Technology:

• Lead the evaluation and procurement of advanced, sustainable machinery and technology that improves water, chemical, and energy efficiency.
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure that the equipment purchased aligns with the company's sustainability goals.

Energy Efficiency:

• Continuously monitor energy consumption and implement measures to improve efficiency, including integrating renewable energy sources where feasible.
