Are you interested in building a biomass gasifier-based startup with the potential to produce green hydrogen at <Rs100/Kg within 3 years? Our client, a funded venture studio specializing in Industrial Decarbonisation) is looking for a Technical Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) to drive product development. The venture studio with experienced co-founders will work closely to establish the core team, provide design for manufacturing (DFM) processes, GTM strategy, and governance and provide access to blended finance in the form of grants, equity, and debt to fund different stages of the development journey.

The role is NOT A JOB but combines the technical leadership of a CTO with the strategic mindset of a Co-founder, responsible for growing the company and its technological assets to reduce 50MT of emissions over the next 10 years.

The key activities of the technical EIR will involve:

1. Build the company from TRL 4 (lab) to TRL 6 (pilot, incorporate) to scale

2. Work closely with Inventor(s) from IIT Madras to apply for grants and take the core gasifier technology from the lab to commercialization

3. Execute projects with refineries and industries interested in piloting our technology To build this, the technical EIR we are looking for is someone who has:

1. Educational Background: • BE or MS degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.

• PhD in biomass gasification, SMR, or process engineering is an advantage.

2. Technical Expertise:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience developing and scaling thermo-chemical technologies like biomass gasification, boilers, or SMR.
• Extensive knowledge of reactor design, biomass systems, syngas, hydrogen or methanol production.
• Experience in new product introduction (NPI) systems and processes to take concepts to production
• Familiarity with safety, reliability, and service requirements for industrial-scale thermo-electric systems.

3. Leadership & Collaboration:

• Proven track record of building multidisciplinary teams in R&D and production.
• Strong project management skills including labs, suppliers, and customers.
